Our Healthy Third Grade Partners
We worked with Mrs. Hamilton's Third grade class to sort out kitchen "play food" into the different food group baskets.
We also sorted the food cards into the right food group on the food pyramid pocket chart.
Then on another day, we cut our pictures of food and glued them onto the appropriate food group paper.
Stay tuned for more pictures of our adventures with third grade!!

Solid Shape Creations
We used marshmallows and toothpicks to make some very creative and amazing solid shape creations!
If you have any extra bags of mini marshmallows at home, send them in for our class! The class said they wold love to do this again!!
Taste Test
This is one test we loved and we didn't even need to study!!
We had a taste test with 5 different vegetables and 5 different fruits. Most of us loved them and asked for more! But not everyone had the same opinion!

Happy New Year!!
Thanks to the Tran family, we were able to learn about the traditions and various ways that people celebrate the Chinese New Year! We made our own Chinese lanterns, watched a Lion and Dragon Dance, and we all got the traditional red envelope filed with candy money! A big thank you to the Trans for their time, traditions, and the chocolate!!
Thank you CSA parents!
We want to say thank you to the CSA parents for the wonderful assembly with Mr. Kenney. He was a wonderful story teller!
Amazing Readers and Writers!
Andrew and Patrick are getting "a leg up" on their reading. Students who work hard at the writing center writing their "I can " books get to chose an adult in our school to read their book with them. Patrick and Andrew chose to read with Mr. Michaels. It just goes to prove that it is not always a bad thing to go the principal's office!
