Picture Day

There are the 3 Billy Goats Gruff, the 3 Little Pigs and now the 3 Little Wepeners! :)

Everybody had bigs smiles for picture day!!

Nutrition Magic Show

He even pulled a rabbit out of his hat!

The Nutrition Magic show was lots of fun! Several of our kindergarten friends got a chance to participate! We even got to see our P.E. teacher Mr. Foote be a part of the show!

The Three Little Pigs

"No! No! No! Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin!" said the Little Pig

Congratulations Patrick!!

Patrick earned a Millionaire Buck from Mrs. Edler by being such a kind friend to one of her kindergarten students. He was being respectful, responsible and just an all around nice guy!! Way to go Patrick!!

Library Contest

Congratulations go out to Arianna for winning Mrs. Zerbe's Library contest! Each student colored Mrs. Zerbe's book about the library rules. She has them all on display in her hallway. Arianna's name was drawn as the winner! She won a pencil box full of goodies! Her friends were so excited and cheered for her! Who will win the next contest?!

Hard works pays off!

Nathan was working so hard at his center on Friday. He was determined to keep trying until he got it right! He was definitely maximizing his learning time!! He earned his second Millionaire Buck!! Great job Nathan!!

Words of the Week

These are the words that we have been using in our daily Interactive Writing. We have been reading and writing the following words every day. We will soon put them onto our word wall as our classroom's "fast words". These are words that we should be able to read and write "just like that!" (please insert 3 snaps here! ) We will do many activities with these words to help us to learn them and to continue to use them in our reading and writing.

It is always so exciting to walk down the hallways of our school only to hear a student shout out " I see the word "the"!" or "I see "ch"!"

I remember how excited I was when my son was in kindergarten and we went to the grocery store and he said "MOM! This is the we-is store!!" We know it as WEIS markets!!

So don't be surprised as you are out and about that your child will be finding some of these words as well!

The Three Billy Goats Gruff

We have started our Fairy Tale Unit. Do you remember The Three Billy Goats Gruff? If not, ask your child to retell it to you! We were even able to put on our own "Reader's Theatre"!!

I love it when we are over at the park and I hear the kids "trip trapping" over the bridge on our equipment only to have a five year old voice shout out " Be off with you!!"
